InfoAge volunteers
have been working long and hard to preserve Camp Evans so InfoAge
can give the historic district a future in education that will ensure its long term preservation.
This is done to inspire students to learn science and engineering and to honor those wireless communication pioneers, WWI Naval radio experts, WWII radar developers, home front workers and cold war information warriors who are associated with Camp Evans.

Due to InfoAge members, Monmouth County and Wall Township effort good progress has been made in spite of the
extensive damage BRAC had done to the propery transfered.
For the section of the historic distric not transfer BRAC continues to ignore their obligations under the
National Historic Preservation Act, Army Cultural Resouce Regulations - 200 and all work they have done
has not had a Sec 106 review. They ignore the New Jersey State Historic Preservation Office and refuse to
follow the Secretary of the Interior Starndards for the Treatment of Historic Property as the law calls for.
BRAC uses its attorneys to skirt the applicable laws. The condition of the property at transfer is the proof.
The site is Monmouth County's and Wall Township's WW2 Memorial.
and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Camp Evans Historic District

These buildings represent the remainder of the WW2 and Cold-War radar laboratory buildings in the historic district which have come under our stewardship.
They were transfered on March 24, 2009. We immediately began emergency stablization to eliminate safety hazards, secure the structures and halt weather related damage.
We have worked very hard. We have accomplished as much work as possible with our funds. We are working on grants for additional funds.
As we raise funds we purchase materials to make the next most important repair. In this group, we have replaced the roofs on eight major structures and three minor structures. We have repainted five major structures and ten minor structures. We have invested over $175,000 in the repairs to the damage to this historic site caused by BRAC mismanagement.
9010-11 WWII and Cold-War Laboratory H-Building
When transfered - leaking roof, no heat, and no electric/ The historic interiors were demolished in sections B - D.
We have replaced the roofes on 9010 and repaired all structural damage caused by leaks.
We need funds to replace roof on 9011 to stop the water damage to the structure.
9017 The WWII Special Antenna Shelter...only one of its kind slated for preservation.
When transfered - leaking roof, no heat, no electric, no water or sewer service, doors missing, all windows broken, historic interior vandalized.
We replaced roof, repaired or replaced broken windows, primed the exterior and partially repainted the exterior.
9029 The WWII Guard Headquaters building
When transfered - roof leaks, no heat, no electric, new windows, historic interiors demolished, no water or sewer service and concrete pored into sewer lines.
We replaced roof, repaired structural damage due to leaks, primed the exterior and repainted the exterior.
9031 The WWII Firehouse....last of its kind in the 48 states.
When transfered - roof leaks, no heat, no electric, new windows, historic interiors demolished, no water or sewer service and concrete pored into sewer lines.

9400 The Cold-War Secret Soviet Atomic and Nuclear Underground Test Monitoring Facility
When transfered - roof leaks, no heat, no electric, new windows, exterior doors missing, historic interiors demolished, no water or sewer service and concrete pored into sewer lines.
We replaced roof, repaired structural damage due to leaks, replaced exterior doors, primed the exterior and repainted the exterior.
WWII Buckminster Fuller designed Dymaxion Deployment Units (DDUs).
When transfered - In poor condition with no electric and exterior doors missing,
We primed and painted exteriors. We have replaced some exterior doors.
The final two buildings will complete the transfer of the Marconi Station, WWI Naval Radio Station and The King's College buildings.
At this time there is no projected transfer date for these last two structures. There is no funding for the environmental work needed.
