Thomas Crowley is a 1969 graduate of Fairfield University, Fairfield, CT where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Upon graduation, he completed the US Army Armor Officer Candidate School and the Armor Officer Basic Course at Ft. Knox, KY. He joined Merrill Lynch in retail sales in Newark, NJ in 1972. In 1974, he joined Becton Dickinson ,rising to senior sales and marketing positions over 13 years.
Tom has served in general management and Chief Executive positions with Hoffman LaRoche, Aircast and Small Bone Innovations. He received Series 7, 63 and 24 security licenses as Managing Director, Healthcare, Friedman Billings. He has consistently achieved operational success and creation of shareholder value with over ten years in orthopedics and he has over three decades of expertise in optimizing profitability in medical device markets.
Presently Tom is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Vertical Spine LLC, a private orthobiologics start-up. He has served on for-profit and not-for-profit Boards to include Chairman, Core Essence Orthopedics and Director Freedom Innovations. He has served as a Trustee of the Spring Lake (NJ ) Community House. He presently serves on the Board of Myomo, LLC, a Boston based prosthetics company, as the Director and Chairman of the Compensation Committee. At present, he is Vice Chairman of InfoAge and Chairman of the Audit Committee.
Tom received a Master of Science degree in 1981 from Columbia University School of Business, NY, NY. He is a graduate of the U.S Army’s Command and General Staff College, Ft. Leavenworth, KS. During his time as a Reservist, Tom served in Battalion, Brigade and Division levels and also commanded at the Company and Battalion levels retiring in 1991 as a Lieutenant Colonel. He lives in Spring Lake, NJ.
